Indian Instituteof Islamic Studies and Research (IIISR) is aspecialised postgraduate institute for higher education andresearch. Thegoal of  the institute istoprepare a newgenerationof youths for developmentof human knowledgeand consciousness especially in the fieldof social sciences inthe lightof divine guidanceof Quran and Sunnah. Besides,our aim is also to make our students grasp the different civilisational contexts of religion and society in India.Developmentof an Islamic environment forTazkiya andoverall developmentof students is our foremost priority.In Indian Muslim society there are two typesof educationalinstitutes namelyreligious seminaries (Madaris) and moderncolleges and universities. There is a gap between these twostreamsof education. One objectiveof the institute is to keepthe graduates from both the streams together and throughlectures, seminars, assignments and mutual dialogueremovetherespective deficienciesof their streams, breed enthusiasmand cultivate knowledge and capabilities. Madaris are usuallyrun on the basisof Maslak.At IISR, students from differentMadaris and Masal  learn together engage in ameaningful dialogue.
