Condolence meeting of Qazi Ashfaque sb held

(10 Feb 2022) A condolence meeting was held on the sad demise of Dr Qazi Ashfaque Ahmad at Indian Institute of Islamic Studies and Research, New Delhi. All the students were present in the meeting held on the lawn of the institute after Asr Prayers. Qari Uzair Ahmad (student) recited the Quran in the beginning. Introductory remarks were made by Anisur Rahman Nadvi Sb (PRO). Khan Yasir (Director In-Charge), in his address, highlighted different aspects of life and key contributions and achievements of Qazi Ashfaque Sb. The program was presided over by Dr Hasan Raza Sb (Chairman).

In the program, Qazi Ashfaque Ahmad’s zeal as a student of Thanvi Darsgah, his participation in various movements, contributions as a teacher, Daee, and activist were enumerated. His endeavours in the field of Dawah, interfaith dialogue and social service in Australia were hailed especially. Due to his relationship with Thanvi Darsgah (precursor to IIISR in 1950s) he was presented before the students as a role model to look up to. Meeting was concluded with prayers of maghfirat for the departed soul. May Allah SWT forgive him and elevate his stations in Jannah. Aameen
